"Out of the Ashes"

This poem is a memorial dedication to all those who where affected by the atrocities that occurred during World War 2. As of the 11th April 1945 Liberation started to happen and from that day Holocaust Survivors could start to heal, but to carry a life long burden of mental anguish. We must never forget and never allow evil to run riot in this turbulent world. So I ask maybe take 1 minute to read the poem and another minute to remember those 1 million+ souls that lost their battle with the evil fascists that cannot see passed the end of their noses.

The Storm and the Sky

This is my latest Poem. I decided to create a poem about my mental health. This poem a started writing at the end of 2018 when I was in hospital for 2 ½ months with pneumonia and sepsis. I have now finally finished it. I hope you all like it. The main inspiration behind it is my “Bipolar Affective Disorder” and the two sides of the disorder as it can be a battle between the two. I hope you like and enjoy it.

This Poem is about the neothlic history of Orkney. I found inspiration for this particular poem from an amazing book called “Orkney - A Historical Guide” written by Caroline Wickham-Jones. If you want to know about the history of Orkney I would strongly advise you getting a copy of the updated edition. I hope you enjoy it anyway.
